Hello, I’m Curt.
You may have seen me out and about with my camera in Southwest Virginia. I am an “enthusiastic amateur” photographer and an organizer for one of Virginia’s largest photography groups: Exposure Roanoke. There I lead workshops on learning photography, portraits, Strobist style lighting, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and other fun photography stuff. Along with my friend Jon Beard, I teach a series of live photography workshops through WeTeachPhotography.com.
For me, photography is a craft that I take very seriously. I am constantly seeking to increase my knowledge and improve my skills. I love sharing what I know, and learning from other photographers. At this point, I have no interest in becoming a “professional” photographer, but have worked very hard on these skills and like to stay sharp by taking the occasional assignment.
